Bioagent Catalog


Users can view the Bioagent Catalog in this module.  Those with add/edit rights can add new bioagents or modify existing bioagents.


  1. Select the Inventory icon from the Main Menu bar.  
  2. Select Bioagent Catalog from under [Bioagents].


  1. This opens the Bioagent Catalog List screen.  Use group and filtering options to sort the list as needed for finding and viewing records.



  1. In the example below, we have filtered by the Bioagent Description field to find the bioagents with "Adenovirus" in the description.  Click [Edit] to modify the highlighted agent, or [Add] to add a new bioagent.



  1. This opens the Bioagent Edit Screen.  Make edits as needed.  The Bioagent Link is a non-editable field.
  2. Select the Bioagent Category from the dropdown.
  3. Type in the Bioagent Description.
  4. Select the Risk Group from the dropdown list.
  5. Check if Exempt, Universal Precaution, or Select Agent.



  1. Add or Edit the Bioagent Strains by clicking [Add] or [Edit].
  2. The Strain Link is non-editable.
  3. Add or edit the Strain and Strain Description as needed.



  1. Click [Save] to save the Bioagent Strain details, or [Cancel] to discard changes.  This closes the Strains screen and goes back to the Bioagent Edit Screen.

 

  1. From the Bioagent Catalog record, scroll down to view the Bioagent Inserts section as shown below.  Inserts can be added, edited or archived (deleted).



  1. Click [Add] or [Edit] to add or modify the Insert.  



  1. Make changes and [Save], or [Cancel] to discard the changes.
  2. If Archiving, (deleting) an item, the user will see a pop-up confirmation to delete the row.
  3. Click [Yes] to confirm the deletion, or [No] to cancel.




  1. The pop up window will close.
